Taize' Prayer Service:

The Taize worship is the most unusal of the three worship services. It is offered the last Sunday evening of each month at 6:00 p.m. and is a quiet, contemplative serivce with much repeated music, prayers, scritpure and quiet time. It is truly an opportunity to slow down and connect with God in a way many of us long for in this hectic world.

Taize Prayer is based on an ancient Christian principle expressed by Brother Roger, a founding member of the Taize' community in France: "nothing is more conducive to a communion with the living God than a meditative common prayer with, as its high point, singing that never ends and that continues in the silence of one's heart when one is alone again." This community is the only Protestant monastary in the world. They worship by prayer, music and silence primarily. It is a service involving the mysterious in a candlelight setting, very peaceful and allows for your connection to God. Please join us the last Sunday of each month for this unique prayer service.
