Who We Are:

Market Street Presbyterian Church has a long history of serving God’s people in Lima, Ohio and beyond to the wider world.  We believe in the Great Commission that Jesus taught His disciples as He was about to leave them in charge of His ministry, to “Go you therefore into all the world. . .teaching them as I have taught you.”    We believe this is our mandate to warmly greet others for Christ’s sake.  To that end we at Market Street church offer God’s life-changing grace whether at the God Glorifying worship services at 9:30 am for an Alternative Worship style or the 11:00 am Traditional worship format.  We also offer Christian Education for all ages at the 9:30 am hour, Confirmation classes, Youth Groups, and Guitar band practice at various times on Sundays. Our goal is that every worshipper and learner meet and honor the living God.  Because we are a congregation where people think as well as feel their faith, we seek to communicate God’s always relevant Word in ways that are creative and thought-provoking.

MSPC is a congregation within the Presbyterian Church, USA, and we are part of the Presbyterian Purpose Driven Church network around the United States.    We are people who believe that we must continue to grow spiritually into mature Christians to better carry the Word of God to a hurting world.  To that end it is our desire to see persons come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and then grow in their faith.  This is an exciting journey for all of us and we invite you to join us for this journey.
